Abdominal discomfort

For most people this means a feeling of fullness and pressure in the upper abdomen particularly after eating but also flatulence, varying stool qualities (soft/hard), nausea and heartburn.

These types of discomfort can indicate disorders of the gall bladder, the stomach or the pancreas. Therefore, it is imperative to consult a physician. Colics, which are spastic pains in the upper abdomen (similar to labour pains) and absent bowel movements over a period of 3-4 days, should also always be checked by a physician. An ultrasound of the abdominal organs, which is not harmful or stressful, can usually help in most cases.  We can provide you with clarification on short notice.
